Greetings!

Meet Mama Tokus - an entertaining and edifying, funky and funny singer, hostess and poetess who writes and sings nu soul, blues and R&B tunes (old, proper Ray Charles-style R&B, that is), nu-music-hall ditties and humorous (but always groovy) tunes – memorable originals and interpretations.

What the people say:

“Like Dr John in a three-way with Shirley Bassey and Eartha Kitt”

Rock star proof and Happy New Motivation!

I'm back for 2006 - and I'm ready to rock'n'roll. In fact I've already tasted a little limelight pre-Christmas. Check out the tiny gig I did with Nemo Jones (right) at The Bedford boozer in Balham, London.

He was co-headlining at the One Taste Christmas session: a mixture of performance poetry, beautiful song, chocolate fountains and even some gospel carols at the end. See the pix here.

Meanwhile, I've been working on web publishing and podcasting my friend Peter Gunn - a DJ, actor and former radio broadcaster who's embracing the power of the internet as opposed to the airwaves.
He plays rock'n'roll and jump-jive and has recorded four shows for me to help him podcast.
He's got streaming MP3s of his shows online here and I'll be getting into podcasting his shows from his blog here
